An effective and enthralling speech does not only relate to the content or context, but to the appropriate utilisation of rhetorical techniques and structure that contest universal requisite ideas, past, present and future that captivate and engage audiences. Since the beginning of time, society has been presented with inspirational and passionate leaders who deliver speeches that remain invaluable due to their themes regarding peace, security, prejudice, equality and basic human rights. These themes are explored in Anwar Sadats, Aung San Suu Kyi and Faith Bandlers unique speeches â€Å"Statement to the Knesset† (1977), â€Å"Keynote Address at the Beijing World Conference on Women† (1995) and â€Å"Hope, Faith and Reconciliation† (1999) which allow the memory of the past and a reminder of who we are today.
