African American Literature MW 11-12:15pm The Color of Drums During the Martin Luther King Celebration, I attended the 11th annual Color of Drums poetry matter. The particular was titled the The carriage at heart when believe is the last safety device. I very feel like the message the poets were campaign to convey by means of this motto for this event became very argus-eyed up throughout the production. The production talked about many incompatible elements of liberty in ones mind, body, and spirit. This is why I really felt like this production was very particularised and glutinous with the celebration of Martin Luther King jr. Martin Luther King Jr. was goaded by this very motto. In everything he complaisant and worked tricky for and towards, was for the exemption of African Americans equality, and freedom in their mind, body, and spirits. He accomplished it and conquered that fight for honor within the African American race. He accomplished this by wrench at bottom of his soul to gain strength from within, which was believing in his fantasy which was the last resort. His dream of whites and blacks holding hands in brotherhood was what kept him focused, this was his last resort. In the front the poets spoke of this in good enjoin and mighty strength that lied deep in the soul. on that point were sevensome acts in the scan, including one dancing act from the notorious dance group Diversion. The different acts were titled header Vs. instinct, Ground Zero, Minority Report, visual Illusions, garner to God, and falling out the Glass hood. The show poetically connected me with what is going on in my animation as an African American. The act that stood out to me the most was disruption the Glass chapiter.
